Name Coconut Grove Peacock Tour 2010
Description The Coconut Grove Peacock Tour 2010 is an important public art event running through November 2010 in the Village of Coconut Grove. The first public art event held in Coconut Grove, this historic art exhibit features the peacock, the adopted peafowl who run wild in Coconut Grove.

Produced by Heather Bettner, President of Prince Media Development, the larger-than-life fiberglass peacocks have been painted and decorated by Coconut Grove and Miami artists, including Romero Britto, Eileen Seitz, Ed King, Dan Bondroff, Erika King, Gina Hubler, Fred Hunt, Deborah Starbuck, Cara Nusinov, George Rodez, Silvia Modica, Pablo Cano, Lebo, Andrea Ruggeri, Ileana Nardo and the students of St. Stephens Episcopal School and Nancy Martini.

Standing 6’ high and 5’ across, the whimsical birds are delighting both residents and visitors to this quaint and sophisticated village. A tour of the peacocks offers a wonderful way to spend the day while viewing the work of 20 artists.

The peacocks have been sponsored by businesses and individuals and are on display on public thoroughfares as well as at private businesses. At the end of the event, the peacocks will be auctioned off to benefit local charities and non-profit organizations at an auction ball November 18th.
