Coconut Grove –Bring a blanket and snuggle up with friends and family on the front lawn of The Barnacle. On Friday, January 4th, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s The Barnacle Historic State Park, in conjunction with The Barnacle Society, presents Balto—the story of an outcast half-wolf who risks his life to prevent a deadly epidemic from ravaging Nome, Alaska.
The gate opens at 6pm, and the movie begins at 7pm. There is no entry after 7:15pm. Tickets are $5 for ages 6 and up, $3 for ages 2 to 5, and free for children under 2. Chairs, blankets, and coolers welcome. Flashlights are recommended and modest pajamas encouraged. No pets, please, during evening events. Service animals are welcome in all areas at any event. Accessible facilities are available.
Up Past Bedtime Movies are sponsored by The Barnacle Society, Inc., a volunteer non-profit, citizen-supported organization created to generate public awareness, education, and financial support for the preservation and maintenance of this historic site. The Barnacle, located at 3485 Main Hwy in Coconut Grove, is a Florida State Park administered by the Department of Environmental Protection.
