Important Information about Runners Coming through your Neighborhood:

 

About the ING Miami Marathon:

The ING Miami Marathon is one of the largest running/walking marathons   participants coming from all 50 states and over 40 countries. Since 2003, the weekend has generated over $130 million for our local economy. Race weekend includes a free Health & Fitness Expo, 5k run/walk (3.1 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a full marathon (26.2 miles).

Sunday, January 27, 2013                   Runners Start & finish in Downtown Miami. The 26.2 mile race

Wheelchair Start: 6:05 a.m.                  goes throughMiami Beach, Brickell, Coconut Grove and Downtown.

Runner Start: 6:15 a.m.

The ING Miami Marathon Weekend provides a platform for various charities to raise funds:  Fit Nation Foundation, PanCAN, Team WorldVision, Team in Training, Children with Cancer (Team Lifeline), ING Run for Something Better Kids Program and many others.

-Tiger Tail Southbound            – Grand Ave Southbound

-Main Hwy Northbound            -Bayshore Dr.Northbound

-CommodorePlaza(eastbound & westbound)

 

 

*All intersections throughout will be adhering to intermittent traffic flow as directed by the Miami Dade County Police Dept and the City of Miami Police Dept. The flow of traffic will be guided through during pockets/gaps between runner packs, however, understand that during the earlier miles and earlier portion of the race the runners are more closely together.
