Mosquito Safety Information:

Posted August 2016

Please be advised that the Coconut Grove BID is currently working in tandem with the City of Miami District II, Grove NET Office, Florida Dept. of Health and Miami Dade County in monitoring the current Zika emergency that is currently affecting neighboring Wynwood and Miami Beach.

Be advised we are proactively performing the following functions within the Coconut Grove BID boundaries:

– Deployment of all of our Block by Block ambassador resources to remove any standing water from the public right way’s throughout the District boundaries.

– Reaching out to our vacant property owners in order to have them visit their respective sites to check for any puddling of water to avoid unwanted infestations.

-Miami Dade County is currently visiting all of our local BID businesses and mandating that each property owner check for water issues within their respective properties.

-Dissemination of important Zika related materials via the Florida Dept of Health within the District.
